This online store is the result of a few years of thought, desire, picking some of my favorites from my 40,000 image library, and procrastination that finally came to fruition with my job loss due to the economy, which inspires the store name. |

I am trained in and have worked in architecture for 13 years designing and assisting others in the creation of wonderful projects while developing my photography skill and passion. My interest in photography started with the passing of my grandfather and being given his manual film Sony SLR camera while in architecture school. This interest grew more with the one photography class I've ever taken, which was an architecture elective class in my 3rd year of architecture school, which taught me the basics of film shooting, developing and processing.
I may not take what is considered 'traditional' shots, and have only ever taken true overall shots of buildings or landscapes when I have been paid to do so. I seek out the details, the beauty that is in a piece of a building, a city or a landscape. I am always looking for pattern, texture and composition in my shots. I enjoy shots that are only a portion of an overall for its abstraction and simplification. Simply put, I look for shots like an architect designing a building.
I have always been more interested in shooting the built environment than people, but took on the challenge of shooting 96 individuals at locations of their choice in a 6 month period for a self-image project that I assembled into a book. My FLICKR page has a set of those book pages here.

I can not have this store without giving credit and thanks to my wife, Addie. Besides the typical support, she has been with me while a majority of these shots were taken. She has a saying that goes like this, "when we go on a trip, it is the three of us: Keith, me and his camera." So, thank you Addie.

I believe that my shots can find some interest and a market with other designers and architects, but hope that anyone can see something in them that they can appreciate and enjoy.
